I'm Max from Frankfurt, Germany. I registered here because I found it a good source for me to find information about one of my dreamcars, the 1st gen RX7. I own or have owned a few older cars, which are two Mazda MX5, a Subaru Libero minivan, a Peugeot 205 cabriolet, a BMW 730i (sold
) and my daily, a Volvo 940ti. The Volvo is my family car as i have a little daughter and one of the MX5 is my personal daily/fun car. The others are stored away because I don't need more than two cars (at least that's what I keep telling myself 
). Sooo. RX7. The first generation is just beautiful and rotary engines are great. But I don't need to tell you that, that's why we are here
. Lately I'm getting a bit bored with my MX5 which got kinda heavily modified in the last two years. I changed a lot of parts and am now at the point where I can only change parts for better ones or modify the engine, which is both expensive. As a student of mechanical engineering I don't have lots of money so I'm kind of stuck here. Also one of my best friends bought an old Mercedes W123 recently and I, being the car nut in the group, also want an oldtimer 
. My plan now is to search for an inexpensive RX7 as a project to build and restore while selling parts I have laying around from the MX5 to fund the project. The MX5 shall remain my fun car until the RX is done, but no more money shall be thrown at it
. And I'm gonna be spending a lot of time here reading build threads and gathering information, so 'Hello!'
