Dam what a shite end to a good day, heres to hoping its not too bad for you and the car, id definatly be putting a claim in to sweeten an otherwise crap deal all together. Hopfully all goes well for you.
On a better note car was looking awesome up the hill even with a dodgy fuel pump, well done.
The probability is that she was using a mobile ..... either txting or emailing (as Keith suggested), what the hell is wrong with people today, can't they leave their phones alone for an hour or 2 - obviously not.
Really sorry to hear about your mis-fortune James and like others, I hope you won't suffer with any long term health issue and sure hope that you can revive Mello. Hopefully you can repair it to it's former glory - gr8 meeting you @ RRG and your hill climb was bloody cool mate
Well melloyello is down with Chris and Gareth at the MX5 Restorers. They did an excellent job repairing the front spoiler and sorting my Elford rear wing. So it made sense to put them in charge of repairing the recent damage. Great quality of work and good communication which helps. They are doing a few other jobs while it is in their care to utilise their skills. Thanks chaps.
Chris kindly sent through this photo so I could see the progress. A little bit of modification, hope it works out.
Good to see its on the mend!
Lucky mentioned you were having problems with the fuel pump, I used to have to clean the fuel filter regularly as I think the tank was sandblasted before I had it, used to find loads of crap in the filter
Really sorry to see your shitty end to a great day at Retro Rides, but glad to see the car is on the mend - I hope you are too!
It's in the right place mate, as you probably know I've known Chris and Garath for about 20 years, they're the only people I'd trust to look after mine too
