Restored Targa Band
I don't know if these were available in Europe but I recently restored and mounted a targa band. It actually complements the louvers and is more subtle than I expected.

Re: Restored Targa Band
Thanks, indeed standard factory colour V9, custom silver metallic available only in 1985.
Here's a link to a full sized version of the image:

Here in Canada the factory targa band was available in 1984-85 as part of the IMSA appearance package combined the factory rear spoiler (I have) and factory front air dam (I don't have). This to celebrate six years of winning the IMSA GTU racing class in the US which includes the 24hrs of Daytona race.
The band is getting to be an increasingly rare commodity, especially in restoreable condition.

Thanks Keith,

Nominally a 1985 Rx7 S model that my Dad owned and passed down to me. Faithfully rejuvenated with period correct modifications over the last decade featuring a Cartech draw through turbo boosting 5 psi through stock engine.

Re: Restored Targa Band
That is a superb colour
I actually quite like the Targa band, which is odd cos I'm not mad keen on them on Porsches... but I absolutely love the louvre panel. Those things just screamed "cool street racer" when I was a kid

I saw nearly same car in the 80ies. Member of the canadian air force living in Lahr Black Forest airport imported the car from Canada to Germany.
