I'm in the final stages of building a 12a half bridgeport so the 12a engine currently in my 85' FB will be coming out in the next few weeks. It's been a good runner over the 12 months since I bought the car but I haven't compression tested it so can't guarantee the condition. Can be heard running in the vehicle if you're quick - I'm hoping to get the new engine in sooner rather than later.
To be clear it is the keg, flywheel and clutch only that is up for grabs, no manifolds, no carb or alternator. PM me if interested.

Re: Gauging interest in running 12a engine.
I'm building it this week, last time I built a rotary it was my old 12a turbo about 15 years ago, not too difficult from memory. . Has taken a good few months of cleaning, inspecting, lapping the plates, porting and gathering the parts to get the spec I want.
I'll try to photograph everything so I can document the build process in my project thread.
I am replacing both rotor housings and using carbon apex seals in an attempt to prolong the life of the housings.

Good point about the comp test. I think I know where I might be able to borrow one from

LOL! Difficult to put a fair price on it without testing it first. I was thinking around the £300 mark if it's a goodin.
