Different targa bands

Let me start by say that i have search online about these and i have yet to find a steady answer. When I purchased my car is came with a 3 piece targa, but i was told the oem (real) ones are actually 1 piece. can someone elaborate on this. personally i do not like the look of the targa so, i was wondering the value on a 3 piece one.? The UK missed out on most everything in terms of aftermarket stuff for the SA/FB. I guess Elford Engineering did a pretty decent turbo conversion and there were a few bodykits and exhaust systems but that was about it really.

And if you really don't have much love left for your targa band, please keep me in mind as I'll never find one here.
