Re: Hello from Hampshire
Hi, welcome to the forum
The best place to look ( probably on the entire internet!) for a first gen RX7 in the UK is on this thread...
http://rx7fb.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=12&start=2020
Practically every first gen that comes up for sale in the UK is flagged up in that thread and Dave, our resident archivist and keeper of the esteemed 1st gen register will be able to tell you if a car is known and any history he has on it. By following this thread you will also get a feel for genuine selling prices and values... some dealers are asking inflated prices for these cars and prices are firming up, but not to the degree some vendors would have you believe.... there are still cars to be had at sensible prices, you just need to bide your time.
There is a wealth of info on here and we're a very friendly bunch
We were very happy to welcome John to the forum as well... any information he can give us about Elfords would be very gratefully received. The company, as you probably know, is no more and the whole site redeveloped and as far as I know, this forum is the only place that keeps the story of Elfords alive.... most of the information we have though has been gleaned from magazine articles from back in the day so to have a member who actually has first hand knowledge of the place and the turbo RX7 is great.
Enjoy the forum and be sure to read the bodywork guide on the forum showing the critical areas to check on any potential purchase.
cheers,
Ian

Re: Hello from Hampshire
Welcome, Mario. There are some real quality cars popping up at the moment, but prices do seem to be on the up. You might wanna get in before they get silly, lol
