Cheers from the Middle East - Costa Rican guy
Cheers guys!
My name is Luis, 32 year old guy. Currently owner of two Fbs. One 82 and one 83. My 82 was my first car..... Looong story, but to make it short never had the money to bring it back to the state I wanted. Along the years I've made several attempts to restore the car making it worse. That's when I bought the 83.... Same story, years went by and the 83 is in descent shape but won't do anything with it for the moment.
Now I'm working in an airline in the Middle East, pay is good and I just started to restore from zero my 82. I'm really excited about this project. Sad thing... My car is in Costa Rica.... More than 13000 Kms away.
I'll be needing plenty of help from you guys in order to bring it back to life. I'll be posting pictures along the way.
Thanks all!!!!

Welcome in, Luis! Also looking forward to seeing pics of your progress (when you get a chance!). Always happy to help on here.
Costa Rica were the team of the World Cup for me, deserved to go further. Although quarter finals isn't bad

Don't even mention it!!!!!
I'm having a hard time being away from it while they work on it. Good thing is that I'll have three weeks of leave on either April or May (just waiting for the leave roster to be published) and then I'll go to see my baby and have a way much better idea of the things I'm missing to continue this project. I know it's gonna take long, but I'm working first on the exterior of the car, so won't have any more rust to worry about....

It never occurred to me that rust would be a problem in a hot country, but I guess it must be humid or is it the salt from the coast?
