Hi from North Yorkshire
Hi from North Yorkshire
Hi everyone.. I'm here in the uk, in North Yorkshire. I used to own rx7's a few years ago and my last one (recognised by Ian) was a series 2 elford turbo which I bought without an engine. Got it all together and uprated suspension etc and did 10's of thousands of trouble free miles in it...Apparently was recently for sale again in its full gold glory!!!.. Had some life changing circumstances at the time of the sale but just back tracking a bit to see what's going on with the old rx's, will enjoy having a look around..

Hi Alan, I remember you well from MRClub.
One of your 1st gens went to Shawnwill in Preston.....it had a magnificent spin on the motorway when things seized solid after stacks of (gas-fuelled) miles by Shawn, but the shell was still good and was sold-on less parts as I recall.
The other was the Gold Elford Ex Channel Isles car?
I think that's the history?
You're very welcome.

Welcome to the forum Allan
Back in 2010 when I did my Elford turbo conversion, there was no info about them on the web and your threads on that gold Elford were very useful.
They're very simple aren't they? I could do an Elford conversion now in a weekend easily but back then, with no info and no one to ask, it was a bit of a challenge.
Nice to see you've joined us here..... it's a bit of a memory lane for former 1st gen owners.
