How Do you find these?

You can find them, you just can't find them in a 7 inch diff

These are just the same as the factory Mazda LSDs I am doing, except these have more friction plates.

Obviously comparing a Mazda factory clutch type LSD and a crappy viscous LSD would never be as super mega awesome as the Tomy (sp) LSD

Apart from ship over a GSL-SE limited slip diff from the States, the other option is to fit a LSD from a MX5... does anyone have the lowdown on these?
Which model years of MX5 do they come out of?
Do they go straight into the axle or need machining of the diff or driveshafts??
Do they fit only s3 axles or s1 & s2 as well?
Which is better for road use, torsen or clutch type?

I'm gonna bump this as I'm starting some research . Is a GSL-SE LSD with a 26 spline a straight swap for an S3 diff? I want to pick one up whilst I'm stateside.

I'm currently running a 12AT with a S4 N/A gearbox so I'll have to work out the drive ratios too.

They present decent value and are coming up on eBay fairly regularly.

The GSL-SE has a 4.07 ratio, let's call it a 4.1, whereas UK FBs are all 3.9. It will work well with the taller S4 box.

They are very heavy to carry. You have been warned.

yeah! I guess it'll have to go at the bottom of the holdall! I'll post updates when I make a decision next month.
I think 'll be back in May for a few days. If I manage to get to the North West I'll take some pics of the car and update the project thread with a to-do list!

The LSD centres weigh about 7kg. I've never carried one.

I carried a pair of rotors in a backpack once. Never again lol.
