Rear shocks have plenty of options based on the mustang. The ones especially I fitted are these:
KYB 743020 Rear AGX Manually Adjustable Shock Absorber (743020-KYB)

They have a plastic dial which can be adjusted from under the car rather than the top of the strut, I prefer this.

Konis are also available via Europe but they are made to order in batches of about 50 so there was going to be a 3 month waiting time on those and I bought the AGX' s in the mean time. .

It was nearly a grand for all 4 corners, with springs and adjustable front top mounts.

One of the guys who bought those cheap FC strut braces should be able to answer that. I suspect the FC will be slightly wider, but don't think it will be by much.

EDIT: Here it is: http://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-s ... fb-466276/

I suspect the shock rod diameter is different between the two as well.

What are you trying to do?

Re: Suspension upgrade / shocks

So after reading this thread a few times my understanding is:

MR2 mk1 Rear Shocks for the FB Front
&
Mustang 79-93 rear shocks for the FB rear

Is this correct? I would like just the straight swap as I just bought some super low king springs from Aus. The welding and chopping and camber plate mods I read from the links seems like more trouble than its worth.

Thanks

Thats correct. They were a direct replacement front and rear. Note the bottom fixing on the rear mustang shock is about 1 or 2mm thicker than the stock one. I overcame this by removing some material from the shock instead of splaying the shock mount, if that makes sense.
Heres some pics after install.
