Hi everybody,
My name is Hisashi, I'm a regular reporter (writer and photographer) to a Japanese magazine called Nostalgic Hero.
The reason I am positing a message here is, I'll have a chance to visit Eindhoven, Aachen, and Helsinki later this month and am thinking it would be great to meet classic Mazda and other Japanese classics owners. Anyone out there???
The magazine has interests in 1970s Japanese classic cars and older, also some interest in 1980s. Hopefully I meet owners and can report European activities to Japanese readers by writing a magazine article. Thank you!

Konnichiwa Hisashi san
hope i got that right
Welcome to the site.
There are a few Dutch and German fb owners on here who might be able to meet up with you for any photos and discussions for your article.
There is alot of info on here which will be very useful to you about the Japanese classic car scene in Europe especially so for Mazda rotary engine cars.
Might be a good reason to justify a road trip to Eindhoven for a few of the UK lads.
Cheers

Message arigatou Spoddy san.
Although I'm not very familiar with distances in Europe, UK to Eindhove/Aachen may be too far to drive???
I've got stuff pretty organized in Helsinki happening on Sat April 25th. Still looking for a help in Eindhoven/Aachen area either on Sun April 26 or Sat May 2. I contacted Datsun guys in those countries but nobody would be able to take the lead on arranging a meeting or tour.
A bit about myself. I never owned a SA or FB but I did FC a few years ago that I enjoyed a lot. It was a beautiful red NA early model. Regret I sold it... As for UK, I have a contact with the UK Matra Enthusiast Club.
Cheers,

Re: Classic Mazdas in Europe?
Red n/a fc, nice car. I know of a white one local to me which is very nice.
I always liked the soft top fc with an electric roof, turbo II is as quick as an n/a rx8 if not quicker.
I was joking about a contingent from the UK as seems short notice and people on holidays i would suspect,
but some have Elford turbo fb's and maybe could get to Eindhoven quickly lol.
Best bet is some of the Dutch guys who might be able to meet up with you, see who replies.
Enjoy the site it is a good place to meet Mazda rx-7 enthusiasts.

Hi,
I've been to your website a few times. Thanks for coming on here to say hi. You haven't left a lot of time though.
You should contact Multirotor. He is on here.
He has R100 and RX3 coupe in Northern Belgium. He could be able to meet you in Eindhoven or Aachen area.
I have RX2 coupes but here in UK.
Holland and Belgium are your best location to find early rotary.
Good luck!

Thanks guys for the information. Keep fingers crossed.
TOOL, I noticed you might've been from NZ. I was there a few yeas ago and met a couple of rotary guys, including a Grand Familia guy. The one I wrote form that visit is this. Somebody uploaded to ebay. The end of the web page. The bright green car was RX2.

And few really awesome FB actually... Here is a link to car which is on sale actually. He is near Helsinki and I think I can arrange you to meet him...

First, welcome!
But I really do hope that you wisit other towns too when you are here. Just because Helsinki is ugly town

Second, may I ask what your plans are? Who will you see and visit? Our rotary scene is small, but old school Toyotas are popular. We love Hachirokus
Third, I am more than happy to help!!!

Hei Japi,
Great to know somebody is in Finland! By my magazine's definition, FB is a classic. So, you are in! I'll be staying a hotel near the airport, so a little bit closer to you, and Datsun guys are arranging a meeting or tour on 25th. I'll PM you.
