My Chevette is the 2nd generation. The first one is called "tubarão" (shark) here, and was sold from 73 to 77 (you can see many of them for sale here: http://www.mercadolivre.com.br).

There is a guy in Venezuela who put a NA rotary in a "fake" Chevette (it's a chassis built car "dressed" as a Chevette). That model was the latest one.
