Suspension bushes and ball joints etc from USA

Hi All,

am currently sourcing Ball Joints, Steering Joints, suspension bushes, and various engine parts etc and have had a quote from Black Dragon in USA and they are very helpful, have a comprehensive catalogue for RX-7, and the parts are reasonable prices.... but the shipping seems rather expensive at $ 260.00 ?? and also there may be extra taxes and customs fees to pay ???

Does the shipping cost sound reasonable for UPS delivery ??

Has anyone had a good / bad experience with Black Dragon ? or suggest an alternative company .... I know there are a lot of race part co's available, but I want to keep my 'baby' standard.

Hi Jim, I have ordered from Black Dragon into Canada a number of times. Items have always been correct and arrived with no problem. BUT shipping costs into Canada have been high and have always included extra taxes and fees, thanks to our government.

Basically what Mal said, it's the same here in the UK. Her Maj's Customs and Revenue will do their best to rape you on import duty. But they have excellent inventory and sometimes you've no choice Try to order as much as you can, that way relatively the charges don't seem to bad, lol

ES direct? Not good pricing. Amazon usually wins, but I'd say try Summit Racing, even for non-race parts. Seldom as cheap as RockAuto either, but their comparison features are great!
Sometimes Prothane offers businggs ES doesn't, and like ES, Prothane gives a choice of red polyurethane or black polygraphite.
I've never had the red stuff squeak, but the black is more stealthy.
