Spring Diameter

Post by Wishy »

Good afternoon everyone.

I have not been active on here for a while as my 7 has been garaged up. Now it time to let it out again. I am in the middle of getting everything it needs to get it sorted just now but i need a like info if anyone has got it.

I am have custom springs made and i need some dimensions. Unfortunately i am out the country and can measure this myself. So i was just wondering if anyone is able to measure the outside diameter of the front and rear springs for me.

This is the last bit of info i need to get the springs made up. I am hoping to have everything ordered for the time i get home so i can get cracking on the car.

Any info much appreciated

Scott :)

The fronts are tapered like an ice cream cone. Not much you can do except run the originals or way overspend on the 40% stiffer lowering springs from RacingBeat. I checked with Moog, no luck.
Because I'm using FC struts, I was able to adapt some other Moogs, at very low cost.
I considered coilovers, but they're too big for the bottom end, and too small for the top end. A bit of fabrication could make it work, but I'm under time constraints and budget constraints.
