Post by m swann »

So this is my 84 GS named Tender Blue. Purchased two years ago, but it takes me a while to figure things out. like posting pics. Thanks to Hobawaba for the how to.
Pic is from the 2014 Canadian National Auto slalom.
When in doubt....hit the gas.
22 7's in the yard makes me a collector...not a redneck.

More pics - now that I can add them , maybe too many ? Pics at the track are from a lapping day last summer. Car is absolutely a bone stock GS. Drum rears, no LSD, no A/C, manual windows with 200,000 + km's. And still a blast to drive. I've added racing beat rear springs , energy suspension front bushings and KYB rally shocks on the rear.
Car needs paint as a result of clear failing.

Wow, must have taken ages to line up the cross-spokes on the wheels so they matched in that last pic  Car looks great, and it's nice to see you using it properly too

Hallo Mal,
300000km are possible especially under race Condition with oil and filter change all 7500km. The engine dislike town and short traffic.
Never saw such a rear wheel! What car spent it and what's going on with the rear seat in the seven?

 that took very careful braking into corner 2 !

I needed a 5.5 or 6 X 14 wheel last year, so I went through my pile of rims and found them
They are a 5.5 x 14, brand name Cosmic made in England. Removed the old Michelin Rally tyres, sandblasted them and gave them a matt finish clearcoat.

Very old school but I really like the look of them.

PS rear seat project: the are in the car but i need to finish the project.
