Hard to say which way this will go - it had obviously arch and sill rust, and border authorities here are very picky on that type of thing. Could have been bought in as a parts car or someone planning to do an expensive restoration.
Either way, not a lot of S2 cars here - mostly S1, followed by S3
I have decided to sell my FB. This would be a perfect project for someone.
I am going travelling for a while and I need to downsize my garage.
Here is some info on the car:
1984
Still has MOT but I will need to double check the exact date.
mint interiour (I will upload some pics later today)
The body has 90.000. Properly undersealed. No rust underneath at all.
It is very clean. The only spot that lets it down is some tiny bubbles on the roof.
She handles very well. Everything is standard suspension and body wise.
Originally I bought this car from Ireland with a pinto engine.
So far I have put a low mileage 12a in there but it needs finishing. I have all the parts for it and many more.
2 gearboxes, 2 carbs, starter motor etc.
I was going to finish it myself but as I have 2 other rotaries and work in London during the week I just don't have the time.
Not running at the moment unfortunately. Everything needs to be bolted on. Carb, Distributor, starter motor, manifold, header, cooling pipes etc.
Wiring is all there.
I will be very sad to see her go but ideally she needs a new home and driven back on the road again.
Price wise I am looking for offers really around £1500.
Would be good to see some pics of the usual 'Trouble spots' but looks fairly straight in the photos. Could be a good one for the mechanically minded by the sounds.
Yes SIJ was noted in N Ireland a year or so back with the Pinto engine. It is on my notes as ???? S2 or S3. I am aware the wheels are S3 but other things said series 2 to me at the time it was last for sale......like the screen washer jet and the rad configuration.
I figured at the time that the engine and the running gear were all changed in N Ireland but I could not confirm or deny this.
