greetings everybody

Post by Gewdraa »

A friend has asked me to help with his 1985 rx7 project.
Why
I am an ex MRTE rally mechanic, started in 1986 the end of the rx7 era, My first working rally was the RAC of 1986, which Mazda won the Class with Ingvar Carlsson driving a 323 GTX.
Worked freelance here in Belgium on RX7 group B cars for a few years but stopped due to the fact i was always busy and the family was growing.
I have been working for the past 16 years for a large American airline as a aircraft technician. still in Belgium.
Oh, i am British, my family are in Southport Merseyside.
Visit a couple of times a year.
Sold my Porsche 996 cabrio last year, to go fly fishing.
Oh i was ready some post about ex works cars, very strange they still have Belgium plates, the number plates here stay with the owners and not the cars.
take care everybody

Hi Chris and welcome.
I would love to see you post pictures of the rally 7's if you have any.
Do you have any idea of what spring rates they were running back in the day while in Gravel spec??
When in doubt....hit the gas.
22 7's in the yard makes me a collector...not a redneck.

I shall see if I can find some pics. No idea about spring settings sorry. It was a long time ago.
I am sure I have pics of the group S project cars, think around 1987.

Yep, is the Camp still there? It was full of thousands of vehicles in the 70s.
Is there still a lot of good Fishing in the Canals?
