84 FB Owner

Post by kutukutu1 »

Hello,

I am new to this forum, but not to RX7s. I love the SA/FB over all the other series.
i have an 84 which i drove to 213k miles until i tracked it and blew the coolant seals.
I began rebuilding it and modifying it in 2010, but due to time and money i am still working on it.
I have a 12A bridgeport with all new bearings, lapped irons, upgrade oil pump and converted to ITB set up.
The body is a widebody, unsure of the brand since i bought it used out of someones backyard.
I currently fund my project by making headlight bushings and door pull cups for the SA/FB and selling them since my paychecks just go to bills.
Glad to be in the forum.

Hey man!
I'm the guy in Japan you shipped headlight bushings to, something like 3 weeks ago (I guess you don't ship parts to Japan all the time lol, so I'm that guy! :) )
Ordered them through my wife's ebay account.
Thanks for making those, quality product, snaps in perfectly and it's really damn practical not to have to pull the headlight by hand once every 2 days anymore haha

While you're here, would you happen to make a tray that would fit under the hashtray. Here is a picture of my interior. You can see the empty hole under the hashtray. Doesn't have to be too deep. Just to cover the thing and keep home keys or maybe an ipod...

But it might be costly to 3D print such a big part though, I don't know...

Thanks again though,

Flavien

Hi Kutu,
Welcome, that's a good mileage on your engine, what was the secret? Premix, long distance journeys, special oil or high revs,
regards Pete
