Exhaust Mounting Points

Post by MelloYello »

Could one of you please supply some photos of the exhaust mount points, or a photo of the underside of an fb ( my google skills are lacking today )

In particular i am wanting to look at the mid mounting point for the hanger by the gearbox rear mount. I am guessing there is supposed to be some kind of bracket there, and mine is long gone.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there should be a bracket hanging from the side of the rear of the gearbox. It's 2 tapped holes for the bolts.

It's a triangle shape on the early cars. It mounts to a clamp around the pipe(s).

Clamp (top left):

This is what my red one had when I bought it:

It's pretty much solid mounted to the box and then goes flexy afterwards.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......
