Just print off the page Tool put up and ring VOSA if he doesn't accept it, the rules are the rules and he should know them

I did as Ian suggested to my local MOT Bay as they insisted on testing, I highlighted the small print at the bottom & took it to him & said "Here we are, this will save you some time" as I mentioned to him before it did not need a test other than visual (not that it had failed the test), he does now. They do not like to think someone knows more as they are rigorously monitored. You have to be diplomatic as they fail it on principle for some other minor just to be an arse.

The garage should also have a big emissions sheet in their shop. There's a box that says our cars only need a visual check

Hopefully you get the issues sorted anyway. Good to see an update :D

Hi All,

Just to let you know that I did as suggested and printed off the relevant info and diplomatically showed it to the MoT man, and the result was a fresh new MoT certificate. So I'm well happy!! 0-0 W(p

Cheers everyone for helping. I've now got all the time in the world to figure out the electrickery of why my PC won't talk to my ECU (could take a while...) ;s;

Next job is to sort the offside front wing, which is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car:

Whilst I'm at it, I'm going to respray the windscreen surround as it has a number of chips.

Nice Detail work Pete. th:

Good to see you are taking black. I myself are polishing the Black plastic mirror housing, getting the same effect. The electric mirror is working too? Btw the mirror where built for the US market not nz/au market.

Nope. Australian models got the same teardrop style mirrors as the US not the rectangular ones like JDM and Europe.
