Are these kind of prices for FB's the norm now? It seems like everyone on ebay just wants silly money for them. I'm looking for another but i can't justify spending that much on it. From what i remember only a few years ago the price used to be around a grand for a half decent one with MOT??

The number plate might be worth a few quid?
He obviously has the V5 so it could be transferable.

You’d need to weigh up the value of the plate against the cost of getting the car mot’d and taxed and transferring the plate.... it does add value to the car though.... in fact, it’s probably the only reason anyone would buy it

Ambitious. It could probably be restored, but it would be un economical to restore it, even if you got the car for £100, let alone £2000! far too expensive for a parts car. I wonder if he'd break it, I wouldn't mind a couple of bits and pieces for messing about with.

I thought you could transfer a number plate so long as the car hadn't been scrapped with the DVLA
