I've never tried a BP but wouldn't that take away from the driving in town or low speed areas?
And I think fitting a LSD was smart considering the wheelbase and the effect of a bridgeport...
Set of S2 rear calipers

BPs are great fun round town. What problem does low speed areas cause?!?Ulvegrip wrote:I've never tried a BP but wouldn't that take away from the driving in town or low speed areas?

Re: Set of S2 rear calipers
little low end torque?
would mean high revs and low gear to cruise round town and that makes it not problematic but i imagine it takes some effort?
This is entirely based on "what they say" and "what ive heard".. please tell me im wrong I would love to run a BP

Re: Set of S2 rear calipers
It's nowhere near as bad as people who haven't owned one make out.
If you go for a good street able sized Bridgeport and don't go crazy with a super light flywheel and 10 ton clutch you'll be fine. The tune can make a big difference too.
I drove mine round inner London all the time. Had a ball with it.

You want somehting considerably smaller then this:

I'll drive in first gear with earmuffs on if I have to

Re: Set of S2 rear calipers
Are the LSD's useable, easily refurbed, for sale ?TOOL wrote:You can actually. The S2 has 24 spline side gears and the S3 has 26 spline side gears. You just have to swap them out. They're all factory 3.9 ratio too.
Not cheap to do it properly.
I sold a S3 LSD last year. There was a lot of queries about it.
I've got a couple of 24 spline LSDs in the garage for RX2 through RX7 S2.

Re: Set of S2 rear calipers
Very hard to find, so keeping as a spare. Perfect working order.
You can still buy the parts including clutch plates etc from Mazda if you can find one.
