Having been speaking to a Motoring journalist about the differences between FB/FC for a article he was writing, he passed my name (with permission) to the Public Relations Manager of Mazda UK. He asked me if I would be willing to travel to a Ex US Air Base on the east coast for a Filming Day, expenses paid, I thought for a nano second & said yes! This would involve a well known motoring journalist (who had no previous Rotary experience) driving all 3 models to compare their performance etc, then the journalist, myself & the PR Manager driving them in different scenes at speed around the Air Field.
Mazda UK had a S3 Tender blue FB with 300 miles on the clock & a JDM FD but no FC.
After & overnight stay, Introductions & filming started. A successful day was had by all, I drove a FD for the first time. (
)
After over of 800 miles round trip I was back home & it was all over. It will take about 3-4 weeks before the film will be finished, but once done I will share link etc.....................meanwhile here are a few pictures of the day:-
