I went a couple of years ago and met up with some of the guys. It was good to see them and check out some cool cars. But didn't "wow" me too much aye! Oh - I can only drive my 2003 Yaris at the moment (with loud exhaust as the back box broke off!!) -haha-

Side note. £27 for a ticket?!?!?

Yeah, and it was snowing on the way there Jesse. Bloody freezing.

We were stuck out the back surrounded by Honda Civics too.

It was the RX7 parade we went for.

I said never again to that show.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......

Yeah I had the same opinion to these type shows. Too much new stuff, whizz bang boom boom etc.

But the magazine RETRO JAPANESE is organising a large stand and am going to take part in that, with the 121. Kiwidave is taking his 7 and Brawr is taking his Starlet.

And I have not been to Silverstone before so at the least I will tick that box.

I wasn't keen on the move of Japfest from Castle Combe to Silverstone as much of the atmosphere seemed to be lost. The RX-8 OC went the first year the show moved location but they haven't been back since, as very few people seemed to enjoy it at Silverstone.

Anyway, I'll be in London for a great-nephew's christening on May 6th, so can't make this one anyway.

It will be interesting to hear what you guys think of this year's show though. It might have improved.

So this was no great shakes. The usual boy racer stuff.
Massive turn out though, they must make a lot, given the ticket price.
Good weather.
There was some focus on the rotary engine and some displays that Dave took part in, although it meant he missed out on track time.
A big focus on the trade stalls.

Will i go back? No.

I felt the same way. It was an okay day out with a free ticket, but no way I will be paying 54 quid for Meg and I to go next year :o
