I got a rubber from Gernot, thanks to austria. Asking a lot of questions on the restoration, no problem!

Finished my 4 carb. What can i say: i like them all especially the economical nikki. Drive a long distance for visit some car meeting is not the problem anymore. Very driveable with cruiscontrol and choke.
It need 8 carburattor to built this fantasic four and three years and some grey hairs. I learned a lot but doesn´t like to smell fuel in the next time and be happy finished this project.
Here the result.

Long time ago there was no update. I always like to drive and have fun without any issue. My diff was making some noises, so i decided to buy an mx 5 torsen 2 diff gear ratio 3,6:1 from a 10 year anniversary with 6 speed transmission. 3,6:1 is one of the longest ratio you can get for the 7" diff. But it is to long for my car cause of the big wheel 225 50 16 rear. I am more after an 4,1:1 or 4,3:1 ratio.

Thousands of kilometers of driving with the new diff (ratio 3,9:1). What could i say: I am very happy it works so much more silent then the OEM. Not sure how much the Motul gear oil competion 75W/140 synthetic takes a part of them. The power you get and the style of lock the wheels and drive is nearly the same with driving the new Mx5.

First time i took curil for sealing and there are problems more and more oil drops on the garage floor. So i change the seal and went to elring dirko ht.
I loosen the diff with the mounted axles and the 5 mm split allowed me change the seal. I also have to change the new expensive oil again. But this dirko stuff solve the problem. I will get more and more a fan of the elring Company.

spirit r wrote: Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:07 pm Hello Rx-7 Fan,

some wishes a thread from building up the Rx-7 Spirit R. My first Rx7 1981 in pearl white I sold after an accident on the Highway A8.
I startet in 1987 as a member of the "Rotary Drive Rx7 Club Europa". My Rx7 FB 1984 in dual colour silver/gunmetal should fitted with 7x15" 205/50/15 front and 225/50/15 rear. The engine I modified with the very good racing beat porting and exhaust. RWP should be 160 and the engine was completely chromed. Sorry the pic is original from 1985.

After the first restore in 1992 my Mark I Rx7 will be the best of the Rotary Drive Rx 7 Club Europa.
Members of the Rx 7 Owner Club Great Britain ask me and me Friend with the best car of the MarkII Rx 7 for coming to Haddenham in England, We both take the Convertible Turbo II and meet Jimmy living on a Horsefarm. The roll out bring us to the Duxford imperial war museum i think. I saw my first Elford Turbo and spell everytime with his kindly owner.

Sorry hope you understand the Story
The next and newer pics will have a better quality

Thomas
I hope some day I’ll be able to get my 84 1/2 looking like it just came off the showroom floor again.
Great job
