Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
and then it went downhill... motor is good... seems its getting stronger with miles on it but it started missing...
I guess we didnt put the 10micron filter in and may have clogged an injector that I just had cleaned... grrrr... another issue is the company that did it gave me results saying that theey all ended up flowing 130... 2 are 750s and 2 are ID1000's... didnt make sense.. also I guess there are no filters on the injectors...
so here goes another $600 in injectors, 10micron filter and more fittings... ...
the last video above was a teaser.. I was only getting up to around 3000 and no boost... good news is now the turbo spools from about 2800rpm.. previously it didnt want to spool till about 4K or so... so maybe my exhaust manifold mods are working.. we will see...
So Kevin is ordering my some ID1050x's or whatever the latest greatest ones are... should be enough to push over 550-570 if I ever wanted too... haha I said lets keep it at a manageable 450hp... hahahahah
I have my first car event next weekend (9 days away...) aaaagh... am so close.. as long as the filter and injectors arrive... should work out..

That other video may have been the wrong one... I hate when people film it that way.. I swear it should be landscape but I was driving and filming so quick snap... hahaha... can hear the turbo whistling a little

Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
its a littel frustrating but in the end IA just want it done right...
A mate (posted his car a while back) made the decision to get his done after he was riding in mine during the logging on previous motor.. he was there when it popped.... he took his car in that week to get the turbo swap done... it still hasnt been done... he is a little pissed off now... its sat in the exhaust shop for 2 weeks or so... I told him my exhausts may not be the prettiest but I get them done in an evening hahaha
fedex didnt leave a package yesterday just a sticker saying they will try again...... it was either my filter or my injectors... aaaagh couldve got some stuff done last night but alas I did nothing...

Re: 84GSLSE 13BREW Swap build
Read on another forum about someone making a turbo shield from a pot.. so off to walmart.. well that failed but it did at least five me some basic dimension and style to design from haha thankfully I can go to work early and make use of all the gear there..
