Back in Auckland for a week and need new shocks
I’m back in Auckland for a week, I have a question: will I get charged duty if I buy some new shocks for my FB here and put them in my suitcase? And does anyone Have a part number for 1985 FB shocks? Apologies if this is a stupid question.

I'm reasonably sure that OEM shocks aren't available from Mazda any more. They will probably have the same KYB items that you can source from the US. Call in on any mazda dealer parts dept in NZ. You won't need a part number, just tell them what it's for.
Whatever you find, it won't be cheap. I've just looked up Supercheap Auto front inserts at $221 ea. rears at $130 ea. and that's the KYB items.

You can't source the front strut inserts in the UK. Rockauto don't have them at the moment either.
1st gen MR2 (W10, AW10, AW11) rear shocks will fit the front strut.

Update: Auckland airport said I can’t pack the shocks in my luggage as they contain sealed compressed gas. Bugger. Also getting a set of front brake pads for a series 3 is getting harder too. Oh the joys of owning a rotary are all coming back to me.

My inlet manifold came back from Aussie in a suitcase.
For front struts Koni adjustable yellows seem to be available in UK (I've not bought myself but there are UK sellers with them listed in stock).

I have a NOS front pad set # FA66 49 280 if you haven't found a set there. Otherwise, easy enough to find on RockAuto. (84/85 GSL-SE pads fit UK S3).
