Goodwood Breakfast Club 80's Sunday

Post by KiwiDave »

Having been successful in having TWiR accepted for the event. I was quite hoping that the event would not get rained out, The previous year's event (Japanese Sunday) fell victim to prolonged precipitation resulting in cancellation.

So having had rain for the preceeding two days, it wasn't looking great. The morning of the event started with a 0500 alarm and no rain in sight. Fired up TWiR and headed for Goodwood. Nice drive down and a good chance to get re-acquainted with the NIkki. The twin SU's need some expert intervention which is about a month away from happening.

Arrival at Goodwood and checking on the aftermath of a pigeon that wasn't quite awake ....

And don't be too concerned, the bodywork is fine

The good thing about arriving early is you get a choice (this side or that side) of where to park. I chose the Red Zone next to a rather nice Espirit. Quite apt really as TWiR was wearing its grandad's shoes!

Ready Steady Go for some 80's goodness.

Excellent turnout Dave, great to see she holds her own well against the others.
The drive down was quieter than usual, better or worse or just different?

Still more to come Thomas. Lots of photos to share.

The headlamp washer covers disappeared at some event last year. I currently have one in storage (kindly donated by Pete).

Fucking pigeon indeed. That's payback for all its mates that have ever divebombed my car just after I've washed it.

A very quiet drive down Pete, quieter than usual. Nikki is back on for a few more weeks so a smile inducing percussive accompaniment on occasion.
