New Springs - Racing BEAT
I am looking at replacing my Coil Springs all round. I have changed the springs on my Vert & found the RB Springs superb (also have KYB Adj Shocks). The Choice is limited on the FB when not wanting to reduce the ride height. I have come to the decision that the best considering height & performance seems to be the Racing Beat with a lowering of approx 1" (see description below).
I would like to know if any other members would be interested as part of a Group Buy, as I think this should attract a discount...........who would be interested:-

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
I looked into buying some years ago, here's the thread...

Racing Beat Europe isn't actually 'Racing Beat', it's just a UK reseller of Racing Beat products ( plus his margin), you might be better off dealing directly with RB in the States..... either way, shipping will hit you hard.

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
that's why I never bought any, they weren't very interested in group buys or helping to reduce shipping cost either when I asked..... it was a few years ago though.DKWW2000 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 12:05 pm Ian, I got a quote direct from RB USA & it was approx £63 more expensive without the import TAX![]()

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
So the price imported is approximately the same as the racing beat Europe price, however if you import the items yourself your likely to be stung with import tax/duties and the Royal mail £15 handling charge too.
For me it's a no brainier to go through RBE and see if that is still their price? Even without discount its a good price if this is the item you must have?
I imported a Nikki carb rebuild kit recently and it cost me double $28 item by the time I got stung on charges and Royal mail fees. Although the price isn't likely to be double in this case.
Also have you tried companies like GAZ?

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
I have looked at a lot but its the ride height, I can live with the RB height, & they are a known improvement to handling & a exact fit + a good match with KYB Struts/Shocks which I have already fitted

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
Good point... The price for springs is probably high, esp considering they've been made a long time to the same specs. But there tested and we'll regarded on the car , they would be the item I would go with.
I bet they won't actually drop the car either, the old springs on there just now will have probably sagged too.

Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
about 8-10 yrs back quite a few of the guys installed RB springs and were surprised to find that they didn't drop the car at all from the tired old stock springs.... I'd be happy with stock ride height or a 10mm drop so it wouldn't worry me.richrx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 1:27 pm Good point... Re: New Springs - Racing BEAT
Pete,
Too much time on our hands as I've just started looking into new springs for mine and came to the same conclusion, RB springs.
I've now got all the other parts ie new bushes, shocks and lsd, just need the springs and someone to fit them, so would be interested in a group purchase.
