Hi - another Dave!

Post by djguru »

Hi everyone,

Just jumped in after lurking for ages.
Dave from NI, starting to get serious about resurrecting my light green 1984.

Off the road since 2003, so plenty to do, with rust in the usual places (that I can see so far!)

Have started by pulling the front screen trims off (oh yeah, broke the clips, have ordered those) and the A-pillars seem solid, lower screen corners are crusty though and the lower frame edge doesn't seem great.

Seems time to learn some welding skills and go down the rabbit hole!

Looking forward to asking plenty of questions...

Regards

Hi Dave,
welcome to the forum th: Lurking is good but being able to share your successes and woes is much better! Whatever problem you come across one of us is bound to have had it or still have it :) None of us know everything but most of us know something so between us we get there in the end.
Enjoy the crack on here, glad to have you along.

Hi Dave & welcome to the Forum, you will be no stranger to rust if you live in NI as I believe it is one of the wettest regions,

Thanks folks!
Yeah, no coincidence that we have plenty of lakes in NI, having nothing but ocean to the west does little to stop the iffy weather rolling in!
