Sticky window

Post by CarrieBee »

My passenger window sometimes sticks when it's fully down. I am not sure if it's an electric issue or a 'sticky window' issue. Anyone had this before? What fixed it?

It might be the switch. it's fairly common and I've suffered the issue on two FBs. It's fairly easy to remove the switch, dismantle it carefully, clean out all the muck you'll find in there and re-assemble.

Have a look at this topic: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1783

Having said that, if the switch were at fault, I'd expect the issue to be present on both winding the window up AND down, so more likely the glass is sticking in the runners. I'll let others comment on the best way to fix that.

Cleaning the switches worked for me though the drivers side motor is more tired than the passenger side for sure.

Change the switch left and right cause you normally more often open the driverside window.
