Carb fitting/vacuum heat insulation plate advice!

Post by rustyrescue »

So our carb is all done ready to fit thanks to DKWW2000 for a carb to plunder
I took some parts out of a Walker kit from USA from Rock.
The gaskets were correct but the mounting ones are not.....they are the correct shape but have none of the small holes to match up with the carb base and head plate top. There are 5 vacuum pipes off this and I assume these holes provide the vacuum.
I assume I will have to match up and cut holes to suit??
Also are any of the 5 vacuum pipes best made redundant, I have not traced them all to see what they do.
1982/82 series2 FB.
Thanks for any guidance.

made a stencil and modified supplied gaskets to suit with a hole punch. It runs again :D
