I can't say for sure, but I'd have thought it would generally fit, but the gear lever hole is in a different position in the SA (further forward), so you may have to cut the hole longer in the carpet.

Obviously it will be a different colour to original. I think you can buy reproduction carpets fairly easily, although I think they wont have the correct heel patches on the rhs for a RHD, but easily dealt with by some floor matts over the top.

I have got series 2 and 3 and I doubt there is any major difference between the shape of the carpets.
As James says there is a slight difference in the gear stick position but I am pretty sure the center console would hide that.
I think it is up to you to decide whether a black carpet will go with the rest of the interior. The only other problem might be the piece of carpet that fits below the level of the hatch that meets with the main carpet in the boot.

There's an Aus company that do them as well.

Since they are RHD over there then the heel patches are in the correct place.

No idea what the quality is like.

I bought one of these in Aus when I was back a few years ago. Didn't fit well at all, Carpet quality was no where near the original standard...not recommended. My current one is OK but a clean original one, I think it has to be grey, will be on the wish list.
