This is Dave Howard’s car. I saw this when I was up to buy a few bits. Lots of nice parts on the car. Just so people know this car looks to have been in an accident and the front isn’t straight. You can see in the engine bay pics the front strut tower is moved and the sheet metal around isn’t straight. The add doesn’t say it specifically which I think it should.

Series 2 in silver and rust for sale on Ebay.
Looks like a parts car, too far gone to restore and some parts gone already

I think this car has been noted on here fairly recently

I watch this channel, seems like a nice guy and very enthusiastic about 7s. Decent build.

10 years ago this week.... how times have changed...... hardly ever see 1st gens for sale these days and even basket cases are 2K...... I miss the days when you could pick up a breaker for a ton and a MOT'd daily for a grand.

Don't like the black wheels but S3 wheels are easy to get hold of.

sellers description:

This 1986 FB RX7 had been dry stored for 7 years by the previous owner.
Since we purchased it last year we have fitted a replacement engine and it has been recently serviced by us, including overhauling the brakes and new idler arm bushes.
New tyres fitted.
Tax and MOT to May 2012.
New magnecore ignition leads.
Janspeed exhaust system, audio unit with MP3/ipod connection, black painted original alloy wheels.
Overall it is in good condition and drives well.
There is a small dent on the top of the drivers side front wing and some rust at the bottom of the front wings. It is solid underneath.
Interior is in near immaculate condition and everything works including the fuel gauge.

120,000 miles....£950 seems a fair price with a bit of mot

I guess that's a reality of British salty roads.

Even now, the workshop I have mine with is still finding new areas of rust, on what looked externally to be a fairly sound car.
I've rust on the bulkhead, the floor, the chassis rails, arches, sills, boot, rear valance. You name it!
