Simply Japanese, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Sunday 23rd July

I'll be attending this event again with the RX-8 OC. Not sure at this stage whether I'll take the RX-8 or FB. It's a great day out and, by attending this way, you get into the venue at a cheaper rate - £16 per adult - instead of the usual price of £24. It's a good places for families too, with plenty to do and reduced entry prices for children.

The RX-8 OC are again extending an invitation to other Mazda rotary clubs to join then on their stand and present a more varied collection to the public. The OC will, most likely, have a large gazebo (or two!) with refreshments available. Several on here have attended previous shows and seemed to have enjoyed the day

Longest trip yet for her.....We were there, only FB I think. Still some shakedown issues to resolve including the marginal cooling issue.

Indeed, you did have the only FB at the show! I did intend to take my FB, but the weather forecast was dire for the event when I had to commit to which car to take, so opted for the RX-8. Turned out to be the right decision as it lashed it down whilst we were in the area all day on Saturday, and my FB would have been out in the rain all day, which I try to avoid

The RX-8 OC teamed up with the "Familia" group alongside us, with their rotaries, so had about 20 on display in total, mostly 8's but a couple of nice FD's too:

I had a great day, chilled and chatting to as many people as I could, plus a good wander around looking for rotaries on other stands.

If anyone has not been to the Beaulieu Motor Museum for a while, then I can recommend you seek out this event next year. "Simply Japanese" offers cheaper admission, premium parking position and club stand facilities. This is more than a museum too, with a gorgeous, historical house, grounds and gardens. There is also an interesting display, explaining the role the estate played in WW2 in training "Special Operations Executive" agents. There were even several Falconry flying displays throughout the day on the grass lawn outside the manor house.
