Help! Lost drain plug

Hey all..

I’m in the process of cleaning up the rear end on the Elford and fitting poly bushes.. I took both the fill plug and drain plug off of the diff to let it drain whilst I did something else and I now cannot find the drain plug for the life of me!

Would someone please confirm what size and thread pitch it is please so that I can order a replacement ?

Yea got it sorted in the end .. managed to dig out my thread pitch gauge eventually.. haven’t used it in many many years

Turned out to be 21mm x 1.75 thread

An old VW engine drain plug was the best fit

VW had one in stock so I managed to sort the next day

Still can’t find the original one! It’ll turn up in some obscure place one day I’m sure

I have found them in all sorts of places, in the used Oil or in my socket set box is the favourite
