Then, yesterday, the RX-8 OC hosted an Essex Drive and Lunch. The approx 1 hr 30 min drive started near Chelmsford and ended at the Jolly Sailor pub in Heybridge Basin, near Maldon, where some lovely food was consumed (the carvery roast was very popular!). Not all cars were captured in this picture (pub car park), we had a total of 7 cars in the convoy (6 rotarys). The weather was fine and it was a very enjoyable few hours in excellent company.

Ian Mothersole took along KIMI 2, so 2 FB's in this gathering

A small thing, but satisfying progress on a part I was about to throw away.

I thought this windscreen washer motor was beyond redemption as the rotor was rusted solid to the casing magnet. However, a soak for a few days in some rust remover solution did free up the rotor and I managed to get it apart, as in first pic.

After a bit of careful cleaning, all looks good. A lick of paint on the casing and I'll re-assemble, hopefully gaining a working motor again!

Those event pictures make me miss driving mine aye!

Awesome news on the MOT. I bet you can't wait until April for the 1984 cars to be exempt. I definitely can't, even if I won't be driving it -haha-

Interesting on the washer motor bro. Mine has always worked, but I keep thinking about finding a new motor, along with some fan style nozzles that would suit the car :?
