Dip Stick Access

Hello: I recently purchased a '82 RX-7 that has a modified turbocharged 13B engine. Unfortunately, access to the oil dip stick is terrible. The turbo II (I believe) intake manifold is practically right on top. The previous owner put a slight bend in the lower part of the dip stick but you still have to do lots of wiggling and twisting to get it out. Definitely not fun when the engine is hot. I was thinking of buying a generic cable-style dip stick, but thought maybe someone already figured out a fix.
