Renesis swap?

I have heard that the Renesis engine can go in and is able to be swapped into the FB for a decent 200Bhp+ straight out the RX8 shaped box. RoTechniks I know does this as Gary mentioned it when we have a tea and chat about my project. However he warned me away from them and go with either a rebuilt 12A/12A Turbo, the rebuilt 13B it already has or a 13Bturbo2 engine as these are more reliable. Another thing I heard is that the corrosion resistance of the engine RX8 housings is not that good and one rebuild is typically all you can do before it is toast. Seems they cut corners here.
Most of this is hearsay so am ready to be but for me, a well built 13BT is the way to go over a Renesis.

This confuses me a little, 12A housings are no longer available, so at some point we will all have to go the 13B route surely ? Unless there are plans for a system of re-lining a 12A housing or some one can persuade Mazda to start making 12A housings again, or someone else commissions whoever manufactured the 12A housings (I doubt that Mazda themselves made them, they most likely sub contracted the work) to make a run of them.

Mazda had to invent the technology to make the housings and it was all done in house have a look at these vids-

Most workshops in Australia machine13b housings and regroove the water jacket ..

I have a few mates with 13b Cosmo plates and cut down 13b housings with 12a internals making 450+rwhp turbo'd..- alls needed is a custom alloy lower inlet which is easy to make..

From what I've heard from the owners club the RENESIS probably creates more problems than what it solves. They don't make the power they claim to (you won't see 200bhp) and there are no IDA style manifolds easily available that fit. I would avoid them personally and go with a 13B or 13B turbo from an FC.

Hi there, how did you get on with the swap? I am going to do it to my FB as I am hitting 100,000 miles and just bought the car to fix up. My concern is fitting the 13b block to the existing 12a gearbox. Has anyone done this before, and have got any tips please? Plus mounting the 13b block to my FB chassis tips will ne most welcome. I have read a few posts from the US, and they said it has been done successfully a few times.
