If you remember, this was the little silver mouse that hung out as a clearance on a used car lot in Hounslow last year.

Bit of work gone on here.....It's turned into a raging red monster machine.
shiney paint, wide wheels and plastic arches don't make it worth 5 grand....... hope he's not in a hurry to sell

I preferred it as it was...

It just looks like they've tried to copy the look of that s1 from the sa22c club in Japan that crops up once in a while and we drool over. Likewise is no way worth £5k, but I dunno, there's a surprising amount of people out there who'll be swayed by flash paint and cheap wide wheels.....

Though it's interesting that someones gone to the effort, maybe it's a sign that FBs are getting closer to the tipping point of being 'discovered' by the modified car masses. When we starting getting members turning up who introduce themselves with 'I've just sold my mk3 Golf and I want an FB, which coilovers go the lowest?' then we know it'll have happened

That was "built" for the owner by James McCarthy. He does undeniably amazingly awesome exhaust fab, and it did look like a work of art, but the rest was untouched. Seriously, if you see under the bonnet, there's an incredibly shiny sidedraft Weber on a RB shiny mani and absolutely everything else in the engine bay is rusty and terrible. Honestly, the engine looks like it was used as a starter motor for the Lusitania :( It looks like he put the arches on, did the exhaust, painted it and bolted on the carb and didn't touch a single other nut bolt or washer on the car.

Five and a half grand is a total p***take

Paint does look very neat and I do like the arches but not sure she's worth that bt then again get a rotten one send it to a bod shop for a dent repair and spray, out the exhaust and the bits his done you prob wouldn't get much left of £5500 .

Good luck to him I say

I wonder how he's valued it?... not on what he's spent on it surely?

Like Steve said - looks like someone rocked up with a grubby photo of that jap SA and said "make it look like that please".

He's got more chance of pissing custard than he has getting £5k.

Yeah, but he hasn't done that, has he? He's taken a more or less sound car, welded a couple of holes, rubbed it down with a scotchpad and blown it over. No-one in their right mind expects to get the same money out of a car they put in. Except dreamers and idiots. I'll bet one of my favourite testicles that doesn't sell at anything near that price

EDIT function seems to have timed out or something :?

They seem to have done some more work to it since I saw it last, like the electric radiator fans and so on. But retrimmed interior? O, rly? Like I said earlier, the exhaust was nicely done
