Brake/clutch flexi pipes
I'm after a complete set of all five brake rubber hoses and the clutch line (if possible), gents. From a Series 3, ta. I want to send them away to get a set made up in braided stainless hose, and obviously I'd prefer to do this with a set that doesn't mean taking them off my own car and leaving it unusable for the duration. What ya got?

Re: Brake/clutch flexi pipes
You could always to the speedflow thing Nick and make your own up.. only thing is it wont be cheap as you would need adapters from the calipers, -3 fittings and adapters for the end of the brake pipe.
Wold look the business though.. my new car has a respeed kit and it seems fairly decent quality..

Re: Brake/clutch flexi pipes
Got exactly what you're looking for Nik, except not the clutch line.
I sent a set away just like you're planning......to Stevsons in Birmingham, just of the Aston Expressway, and got them back again with the new stainless braided lines.
The results were.....well, OK, but only after I'd done a bit of filing and triming to make the spring clips fit. (Still on and working well though 5 years on).
Stevson might still have the patterns....I think he's a one man band.
Anyway the brake set is yours if you want it. Why bother with the clutch? It's been said on here that FDs end up bursting their lines, but I can't see an FB doing it. Where's the required pressure going to come from I asks?

Thanks for those, Dibs. They may prove useful to order from someone like Earls if I can't get a set to take to a local artisan
Would you happen to know the thread diameter and pitch as well?
Dave, you have PM
It's been suggested that Series 2 cars may have a different thread pitch from Series 3, anyone confirm or deny this?

Re: Brake/clutch flexi pipes
Old pipes gone from here today Nik. Fortunately the Missus was passing a post office.
A God-Awful wrapping job, I kept trying to squidge 'em below a 25mm thick parcel but they kept rearing their heads like recalcitrant snakes and crossing over each other. I gave up in the end. So expect a 100% mess.
On those pics of Dibs' above, the 290mm (long section) on the front flexes goes from the wing to the strut. The shorter piece goes from strut to caliper. That centre fitting is clipped into a bracket on the strut leg. (Without that clip in place it's an MOT fail).
