Yes, Ian it was a metallic paint, it always looked brown to me, but thinking back Indy Maroon rings a bell, mined you it was back in '81 and far too much of the old brain cells have gone since then.

That's a very useful listing Ian - good man.
When we 1st saw Goldie on eBay it looked a salmon colour and we were slightly disapointed when we actually saw here in the 'metal', still a colour doesn't make the car after all.
So should we go for a full spray job I might just change the shade slightly.

And Mazdamart has now presented us with pics of his Indy Maroon Car on the Wirral. If I were that lovely car I'd butt 'im in the nuts with my front bumper for calling me a 'Flying Turd'. Something more like 'Golden Brown' would be better.
