Hi. My bonnet release cable/latch has broke... does anyone have any ideas on how to open it now? I cannot figure it out

I assume it broke at the bonnet end. Thats a proper pain in the ass, the only way to do it really is jack her up and make up a device that will hook round the release mechanism. I'll sling up a close up of a bonnet catch so you've got an idea of what you're up against. This happened to a guy on the US site and he ended up making a lever with a camera on the end of it so he could see what he was doing.

Here ya go
If you've got arms like an orangutan you might reach it, or maybe of the cable has snapped half way you can pull what's left of it down the right hand side of the engine and strip it back to the inner cable.

That sucks. I'd never really thought about how much of a nightmare it would be in the cable broke, I wonder if I should oil mine....

Probably worth the rest of us putting an emergency cable on and leaving it hanging in the engine bay.
