Well Pip did warn me about carbon apex seals absorbing moisture over time, he said I might be ok if had been kept well oiled. Seems it wasn't oiled well enough.

Whats the plan then, are you changing all the apex seals?

On the plus side Keith, you only need 1 seal :lol:
I guess you can use all the side seals etc & springs again? When you think what might of happened :o

Yes everything looks fine apart from that seal so a set of apex seals and a soft seal kit I guess.

Yeah, carbon seals will even begin to break up in storage.

What seals you planning to run?

13B 3mm carbon seals are NLA dude.

I'm not sure to be honest, what would you suggest as an alternative?

You gotta go steel seals.

They’ll be harder on the housings though.

But you can still get early housings unlike the carbon seals.

do they need to be 1 piece because of the bridge?
