Yeah that looks pretty cool there aye! Especially after the disappointment of the RB exhaust you bought
The RB exhaust will produce more Power. Very good for race. But not streetable with open exhaust ports. Perhaps some guys with unported engines would like it louder it works.
I just test fitted the muffler and without anything inside it Sounds better then the old one.. Next all fixed parts where welded to the finish and will have to built up with stainless steal wool and a special Material out of a AMG Mercedes race muffler.
Also i will have to decide what are the best looking screws. My daughter like the left one most.

Looks very nicely made, and I think the button heads look best!
James i am with you. Japanese tests prefer big mufflers 20x 8 zoll quiet down a open exhaust port without restrictions. Thats what i did.
500 x 230 mm will be the absolutely maximum when you did not want to destroy the rear design.
You can see the small place welding the entrance of the muffler then. I am be able to open both sides and delete all parts together inside for repair or sound change with different wool/stones inside.

Keen for some sound clips when you've finished it up
Saturday i will get welded the specification plate for german mot(TÜV). Sound Clip is no problem but you will not hear anything cause the muffler will be to quiet yet

Hi James,
i wanted to restore my old racing beat muffler cause the new muffler sucks.
Can you post some pics from the inside and a soundfile of your repackable muffler please?
