Wow and there I was thinking I was unique!

thanks for the response though, I traced the wires today to find they had been cut so no idea where they ended up! Guy I bought it off didn't know it was there either

 1979 immobiliser perhaps?
Tool I had a feeling it was a cut off switch but wasn't sure, however I like the ejector set and missile option

And the force field would be excellent, no risk of bird s**t on my car or some tea leaf taking a fancy too my motor.
Have been working on my car again this morning and managed to get the wiring loom out and complete in one! Well pleased pls the heater and pipes etc, not much left now, just some interior pieces, rusty stubborn bolts in the engine bay and rear of the car and side windows. Then spent Some time discussing engines and power output and I like the idea of a naturally aspirated engine for simplicity and uncomplicated look which might suit the S1 better. Hmm decisions

All excellent ideas chaps thanks. As I have a 13b I am going to work with that for now, however it is being stripped and checked next weekend so who knows, I might be in the market for a new engine and I have most definitely been toying with the idea of turbo power from a 13b.

I will definitely be tweaking the engine when I rebuild it with a street port and the idea of a Ida carb bolted on it does sound appealing. I will just have to weigh up pros cons etc with what I want from the car, my goal is as original looking as poss but with 200 - 250bhp on tap. I think turbo will prob be the best way for this but am fully prepared to be proved wrong!
