Hobbawobba wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:24 pm Really nice work bro. Those dust shields get a bit crazy, along with the ducts in front aye  . Jamie had been sorting my ducts with fibreglass which seemed a good idea!

I would be interested in some fibreglass ducts! Mine are not in a good state, so currently removed whilst I think about what to do with them.

Keep me posted on progress please!
We media blasted (lots of holes) and powdercoated them. Then started laying fiberglass on top, to cover the holes/gaps. Although I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to make a mould and replicate them. Or make some out of aluminium. I've been so busy and haven't seen him for ages though aye

LRB makes aluminium brake ducts, but I don't bother with them, just bin them if they're rusty. My race car doesn't have any brake ducts, so I don't see why brake cooling ducts would ever be needed on the road. Front undertray is important though and I would always recommend using one, and a fibreglass one or LRB one is definitely worth it.

Thanks James. I was thinking the ducts were overkill for a road car. I removed them some time back, as they were very rusty, and had no issues.
