Getting ready to take on all the Honda's?!
I finished my welding yesterday! Finally!!

It's not pretty at the moment as that can be done at a later date. It's all solid and seam welded though

This week my OEM steering wheel came in the mail... I bought the car with a momo wheel, which is smaller, making the lack of power steering more brutal, and it inconveniently blocks half of the speedo from my viewing angle. I'm going to be doing a re-tune of my carburetor this weekend since it seems to be running a little bit rich. After that I'm going to get a set of aluminium pedals for the car from autovation... they're not oem but they make them in a black anodized aluminium which would look great in the interior.

Not the exact wheel I purchased, but same design and similar condition.

That looks good, can you make manifold gaskets too? And did you go for the coolant plug option?

A small write up of that would be perfect, I'm going tontry that at some point but dont have a clue where to start.
I've always wondered how much heaver steering is with a smaller wheel, brutal seems to sum it up well

From an old post of mine: All for the 12A with standard Nikki.
"From Memory this......Mixture and Idle setting is done as follows:
Get engine warm and set fast tickover @ 1000rpm+
Screw in mixture screw just until it starts 'hunting' up and down.
Back off mixture screw only enough to restore smooth running and then reset idle down to what you want (typically 800 rpm).
I realise this is a load of cobblers if you can't get it running well enough in the first place, but it might be useful info later on.
The idea is that you get it running well at home using this method then set it up really precisely at the MOT next time. In my experience you're better off doing your own setting first as last and then leaving it, because it all comes down to time and a sensitive touch anyway".
The idle screw is on top with the time-honoured backspring to hold it's setting and the mixture screw has an 'anti tamper' cap that you can tamper with.
