A small write up of that would be perfect, I'm going tontry that at some point but dont have a clue where to start.

I've always wondered how much heaver steering is with a smaller wheel, brutal seems to sum it up well

I don't mind doing a write-up! It's a Weber 45 DCOE 152, so it won't help everybody though.

At low speeds with a small steering wheel, it feels like you're dry-steering it. When I first got the car, I bumped a pole because I couldn't turn the wheel fast enough to get it out of the parking spot  no damage was done, but I had plenty of egg on my face regardless!

What have I done to my car this week - Rear Bushes

Post by DKWW2000 »

Just replaced all the rear bushes with Super Pro Poly. Wow, what a difference.... far more stable at speed, less wandering, and it has lost a lot of the unexplained clunks and the rear end more sure footed on corners....recommended.
I had someone to do for me with a press/ramp as I would have struggled without

This week I got a new exhaust, its all 304 stainless. Long primary with a CX racing header (modified), and from the header back made by a local drag race fabricator. 2" OD primary tubes, with a 4" pre silencer in each primary, which are both as long as possible. Collector at 120" into 3" rear section, with custom made 8" rear silencer which is repackable. I also have an O2 bung in each primary tube so I can get a wideband gauge and set the Weber IDA more easily and ensure each rotor has the mixture optimized. It has been made to be pretty quiet for track day noise limits, but still a very nice flowing system and can really feel the engine pulling harder through the rev range. I really need to do a proper update to my build thread :geek:
