25th London to Brighton Classic Car Run

Post by KiwiDave »

25th London to Brighton Classic Car Run – 2nd June 2013

Anyone up for this?? I know that I have this particular weekend off so I'm quite keen. Anything over 25 years old (Codge??) :D is considered a 'classic' for this event. I'd quite like to provide a rotary presence this year. Anyways here is the link.....

Provisionally...

Normally my event-booking technique involves wheedling a day pass off SWMBO a week beforehand, so I'm unsure how to deal with six month's notice

I'm up for a bit of this, might have to use the art of bribery in the name of a Saturday night in London for the missus and sell it as a nice coastal drive back home via Ramo's man cave though.

Sounds cool - bit pricey but? Maybe I could just tag along the route! :)

Now I know this is still some way off but I have just downloaded the entry form and see that ENTRIES CLOSE ON 24 MAY 2013

Also, there is a choice of route, either 60 miles or 100 miles, the former in sympathy of thirstier vehicles. Both start and finish in the same place.

Just something to keep in mind.

Just and reminder for anyone interested.....

ENTRIES CLOSE ON 24 MAY 2013

Info here

Entry form here
http://www.classicmotorshow.com/pdf/Ent ... C_2013.pdf

Also, there is a choice of route, both start and finish in the same place...

New - This year we have two run options for the classics, a short run approx. 60 miles for the thirstier or older vehicles which will be stopping at the beautiful National Trust Sheffield Park and Garden or a longer run of approx.100 miles to the historic village of Chiddingstone and Chiddingstone Castle in Kent. Whichever run you choose a VIP welcome awaits you with free entry to both venues.

Any preference at this stage?? I'm quite liking castles actually cos there aint too many back home.

I love castles, lol. Sadly, I don't love the rate at which my car is progressing. Or not, as the case actually is  I honestly don't know if it's going to be ready and I don't think I'll be welcome in the FD. Might have to beg off
